What do we consider art? Isn't art open to all interpretation? Can't anything be a form of art? And if so why are we hating on my girl Kourtney?
So you embrace your pregnancy and take some very classy nude pictures of you and your baby bump and all of a sudden it's an uproar in the media. I don't think people understand the female body. The many changes your body undergoes when you are pregnant are amazing. After reading her article behind the photos how could you hate the pictures. Women either completely love themselves pregnant or hate it. For myself I was so in love with my body during the 9 months I was with child. I felt pretty, confident, vibrant, and full of love. It's the most powerful time in a woman's life. And if she wants to get nude and show off her expecting child then why not.
What gets under my skin is the fact that we will talk about her for days and look at her like "why would you take these pictures" but say nothing to the half naked Beyoncé pictures or videos. Is it just the name? Put Kardashian behind it and it's automatically perverted. Have I taken nudes during my pregnancy? No. Would I? Yes! The only reason I didn't is because I wanted to do the photoshoot of my dreams with my future husband. And I'm glad I'm waiting.
If tattoos are art and you can show them off, why can't we as women embrace our bodies while caring the greatest gift in the world, life? It might not be in our liking or even for you personally. But does that make her all these names (trashy, slutty, disgusting, outrageous) the media has pinned on her? I don't think so. She is telling each expecting mother out there to embrace the beauty of childbearing and love your body. And do so in a classy manner!
